The Shree Kantilal Solanki Elocution Competition held at H L College of Commerce on February 29th, 2024, marked a significant event in the academic calendar. Dr. Nitesh Solanki initiated this memorial elocutionary speech competition in 2023, and this year, the prestigious competition was hosted by H L College of Commerce, having earned the title of K S Elocution Trophy winner for the year 22-23.
The competition saw active participation from 23 colleges, where students took the stage to express their thoughts on the theme: “Social Media Obsessed Youth: on a constructive or destructive path?” This relevant and contemporary theme encouraged participants to delve into the impact of social media on the younger generation, exploring whether its influence was constructive or detrimental.
The distinguished judging panel for the event consisted of Dr. Satishbhai Vyas, a veteran professor and author, along with Dr. Kamal Joshi, a theatre artist and professor. Their expertise brought valuable insights to the evaluation process, ensuring a fair judgment of the participants’ elocutionary skills and content.
The winners of the Shree Kantilal Solanki Elocution Competition were announced as follows:
- Manjot Gandhi from Vishwakarma Govt. Engineering College secured the first position.
- Krishna Goswami from L D Arts College earned the second position.
- Jeet Sodha from the Faculty of Business Administration claimed the third position.
