The Mahatma Gandhi Elocution Trophy competition, an intercollegiate event, took place on the 26th of February 2024 at H L College of Commerce. Theme:
The theme for this year’s competition centered around the relevance of Gandhian philosophy in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world. The topic, “In today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, Gandhian philosophy of simple living and high thinking is the only way to attain individual well-being and mental peace,” prompted insightful discussions among the participating colleges.
Participation: A total of twenty-two teams from various colleges actively participated in the event, bringing a diverse range of perspectives to the table.
Judges:
The panel of esteemed judges for the competition included Dr. Bharti Pathak, Professor at the School of Commerce; Dr. Amarender Pandey, Associate Professor at Gujarat Vidyapith; and Dr. Vidya Rao, Associate Professor at Bhavan’s College. The competition saw remarkable individual performances. Ms. Aditi Jain from Ahmedabad University secured the first prize for her eloquent presentation, while Ms. Siya Joshi from S. M. Patel Institute of Computer Application clinched the second prize for her insightful articulation.

The pinnacle of the event was the awarding of the Mahatma Gandhi Elocution Trophy. The coveted trophy was lifted by the dynamic duo of Ms. Moksha Maheshwari and Mr. Vedant Bhavsar from the host institution, H L College of Commerce.
